AoA, Im a regular donor and going to pen down some experiences and certain replies to my fellow donors. First of all reply to brother (Ahsan Javed) who is running with this fear that donating blood makes human fat and unhealthy, so my bro its not true what you have been told by someone, I myself has been donating blood since I was 16 years old and to be honest i don't remember how many times I've done it but average must not be less than two units donations per annum till now. Furthermore couple of times even 4 donations in one year. My point is not to prove that I've done something but it is to tell you that Alhamdulillah I never gained fat neither any of my donor friend has it. Im in my 30's and with 6.2 height my BMI is perfect which i believe would have been impossible if i was not a donor. So forget all this fat gaining conception due to donation. My second response to brother ( Sajid Qadri ) Brother you did this for a cause, However if God forbid patient didn't survive it isn't your fault, your cause was to save a life and that will not go waste for sure. May Allah bless us all. I've donated to a patient of blood cancer on 1st of October and their are slight chances of Survival but hope is alive. I always pray for the patient and miracles are always to happen. Finally my request to all who have concerns about blood donations that do not live your fears and do something for saving lives and doing good before its too late. Salam to all I have donated blood many times at after every 3 - 4 months. I always keep one thing in mind that this act of saving life may please Allah Subhana. Its very simple once all the blood testing done, you are all set to donate. There is no better feeling in the world like saving the life. It doesn't cost anything to donate blood to someone, its just like you are giving someone fruits from your home grown tree, but may save someone's life.
